Actress and Bigg Boss Kannada 11 fame
Yamuna Srinidhi believes that everything happens for a reason, a philosophy instilled in her by her father.
“My father always used to say, Aagodella Olledakke, which means everything happens for the best. I have personally experienced that many times,” shares Yamuna. Her recent eviction from Bigg Boss Kannada 11 may have seemed like a setback, but she now sees it as a blessing in disguise.
The early elimination cleared the path for her to join the stellar cast of Prem's highly anticipated pan-India film, KD, featuring big names like Dhruva Sarja, Dr. Shivarajkumar, Ramesh Aravind, V. Ravichandran, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Ravi Shankar, and others. Reflecting on her journey, she says, “Recently, my early elimination in Bigg Boss has convinced me that it was to be a part of the pan-India movie KD directed by the most popular Kannada director Prem Sir. I am feeling blessed beyond words to be a part of this film.”
The Journey to KD
Yamuna reveals that her involvement in the project began in July 2024. “My role in the film was discussed in July, when the team decided to shoot the scenes in which I was a part in November. Luckily, I was available for them,” she explains. At the same time, she remains tight-lipped about her role.
Collaborating with Prem Sir proved to be an enriching and educational journey for Yamuna.
“Working with him was a learning experience for me. He takes the time to explain the reasoning and artistry behind each shot, making the process both engaging and insightful,” she shares.
Prem’s presence on set, often lasting 12 hours, is marked by boundless energy. “He never appears tired, hungry, or low-spirited. His enthusiasm is truly unmatched, leaving no room for lethargy when he’s around,” Yamuna observes.
Despite managing the immense responsibilities of a big-budget pan-India film with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema, Prem ensures his team is well cared for.
“He makes sure that everyone is working happily and fed sumptuously. Even with all his success since the beginning of his career, it hasn’t gone to his head. He humbly says that he hasn’t done anything yet,” Yamuna remarks.
His humility and dedication to excellence stood out to her. “He never lives on his past accolades; rather, he constantly strives to do something better and more remarkable in the future,” she adds.
Beyond the professional realm, Prem’s simplicity and zest for life struck a chord with Yamuna. “He is the epitome of simplicity, and his personality outside of work is that of a young child enthusiastic about life and learning,” she says with admiration.
The Impact of KD
Yamuna expressed her excitement for the film’s release, calling it a game-changer for Kannada cinema. “Our Kannada director Prem Sir will soon create a new record in five languages with his mastermind movie KD! This movie will be bigger than I can express,” she says.
She credits Prem for his visionary approach to filmmaking, adding, “There is so much to learn from his passion for filmmaking, his commitment to work, his professional loyalty, and his love for his team.”
A Divine Plan
Yamuna concludes with a heartfelt reflection: “I can’t reveal anything about my character or the film, but I want to say one thing... YES!! God’s plan is always better than ours.”
With her strong beliefs and unyielding faith, Yamuna Srinidhi’s journey from Bigg Boss to KD stands as a testament to her philosophy that everything happens for the best. Fans eagerly await her performance in what promises to be a landmark film for Indian cinema.
